🎨 All About Colour & Bleach
“How many rounds of bleach do I need?”
The honest answer? It’s different for everyone. While our Lifting Level Chart gives you a general idea, how many levels we can “lift” in one session depends on two main factors:

Your Natural Canvas: Everyone’s hair is born with different pigment densities. Someone starting at a Level 2 (Deep Black) might lift to a warm orange in one go, while another person might reach a clean blonde much faster.

Hair Texture & Heritage: Hair types vary significantly across different ethnicities. Fine hair often lifts quickly but needs extra protection, while coarser, thicker hair might be more resilient but stubborn to lighten.

Your Hair History: Previous colours or chemical treatments play a huge role in how your hair reacts to bleach.
Stylist Secret: We don’t believe in a “one size fits all” approach. During your consultation, we’ll test your hair’s elasticity and pigment to create a personalised roadmap. If your hair is fragile, we may recommend a multi-step journey over several months to reach that dream Platinum while keeping your strands silky and strong.
“Can I actually reach my goal colour?”
Whether you’re dreaming of a Platinum Blonde👱♀️, a cool Ash Grey/Blue👨🎤, or a vibrant Pastel Pink👩🎤, the answer depends on your hair’s history.
- The Reality Check: Going from dark or box-dyed hair to a light shade takes time and care. During your consultation, we’ll analyse your hair texture and past treatments to give you an honest, achievable plan.
- Scalp Safety: Your comfort is our priority. We assess your scalp health and perform a Patch Test before any major colour service to ensure a safe, irritation-free experience.
“Single, Double, or Creative Colour?”
- Single Process: Standard all-over colour (no bleach).
- Double/Triple: Includes 1-2 rounds of bleach for high-impact or very light shades.
- Creative/Section Colour: Section colour, money-pieces, or “Neapolitan” styles, etc.
Pro Tip: If your current colour is uneven, we may suggest a full-colour correction first for a high-end, seamless finish.
“When should I book a retouch?”
The “Sweet Spot” is 6–8 weeks (about 1.5–2cm of regrowth). If you wait too long, the heat from your scalp won’t reach the longer regrowth, which can lead to uneven colour.
🌀 Perms & Texture
“Does a Perm need a consultation?”
Yes! We need to check your hair’s elasticity. If you’ve bleached your hair recently, a perm might cause damage, so we always assess the “bounce-back” factor first.
“Can I perm and colour at the same time?”
We don’t recommend it. To keep your hair strong, it’s best to wait at least 2 weeks between a perm and a non-bleach colour service.
“Can a perm fix my frizz?”
A Straightening Perm is a game-changer for changing your hair’s structure (from curly to straight), but if your frizz is caused by damage, we recommend a K18 or Milbon treatment instead to repair it from the inside out.

- K18: The “Repair King.” It works deep inside the hair structure to fix broken bonds. Ideal for bleached or chemically treated hair that needs structural strengthening.
- Milbon: The “Texture Queen.” Perfect for dry or tangled hair that needs a silky, salon-gloss finish.

- “I have selected haircut”: Choose this if you want a cut along with your colour or perm.
- “I am not getting a haircut”: Choose this if you only want colour or texture services.
